Art History isn't going to be as easy as I had first imagined. Yes, I am journaling once again as I attempt to pass the time. The long hours that I am stuck at school between classes are glorious. The halls and classrooms are just thriving with self absorbed, hormonal (dipsticks)students. Again I emphasize the word glorious.
My first impression of my art history instructor wasn’t grand. I made a mistake that only a simple minded college student could make, I underestimated her. While I assumed her to be a decent elderly lady who has dedicated her life to teaching second rate pupils for minimum wage at a formally known community college, I was terribly wrong. My Art History teacher is actually a highly educated, well traveled and intellectually stimulating human being. After attaining this information from mere observation I have arrived at only one conclusion. My art history professor must be an evil genius or...spy (5 points for this discovery). Although tight spandex and stylish pumps are usually associated with women spies this get-up does not fit this woman at all, in a very literal sense. Most of all it is just much to cliché. My professor, as devious as she may be, is not a sexy black leather wearing spy woman. The thought alone makes me cringe.
From what I’ve learned she has been all over the world viewing and studying popular works of art in various museums located around the world. Now, I ask myself these questions, “Why stop at something as simple as the study of art? Why not go on studying the governments of multiple countries and the way they work? Why not find their weaknesses?” Art history teacher indeed. The perfect disguise. I can’t simply believe that she is just an instructor at a humble state college attempting to pour her ancient knowledge and opinions into the few open-minded students, here, worthy of her wisdom. No, she is much more. She has to be.
I’ll write more on this subject as I continue to study (my professor) the history of art.
For now I must go.
5 points total. That’s pretty shabby if you ask me.
